What is Blackjack
The object of the game of Blackjack is simple. To win, a player needs to have a hand larger than that of the dealers, as close to 21, without going over. If the player goes over 21 then they are said to have bust. The dealer will also bust if they go over 21.
When playing a game of Blackjack, you are not playing against the other players seated at the Blackjack table with you. You are only playing against the dealer. Unless card counting is your strategy, then the other player’s hands are of no importance. This is why the player’s cards are in fact dealt face up. You can enter or leave a game whenever you like. Blackjack is not a game where you have to play several rounds. Every game is a new game, and as such you may choose to sit down at a table and play one hand, or you can play all night at the one table if you like.
