The simple fact is; blackjack is not nearly as hard or complicated as you may have been led to believe – if you do your research, and develop an understanding for this amazing game then you can win a lot of money. But thanks to Mr Blackjack, even this work has been done for you, so you can just concentrate on studying our simple to understand rules to get right into it. The more confident you become, the more you can study the finer details. Also available right here!
Skill
This may surprise newcomers, but blackjack (unlike the majority of casino games) is actually more a game of skill than would first appear. Whilst anyone can win, and much can be determined by how the cards fall, understanding the power of what you hold in your hand can be the difference to taking the pot, or handing it to your opponent.
Once you gain a certain higher level of expertise, you can really start to kick on and win a serious amount of money.
If you learn a little maths and take some time to study the game, you have a good chance of winning, that many of your fellow game players are unlikely to have heeded much attention to.
If you rely purely on luck then you have very little chance! You will win, just not too often. And whilst it may be fun, you’ll soon get frustrated with missing out the bigger cash pots.
Mr. Blackjack has made a quick reference table for you so you can see the ‘general’ chances of going bust (when you go over 21) when you hit. Understanding these, will give you a much improved chance of taking that decision to hit, (take another card), or stick to the cards in hand.
Let’s have a look at the numbers:
Hand Value % of Going Bust
21 100%
20 92%
19 85%
18 77%
17 69%
16 62%
15 58%
14 56%
13 39%
12 31%

How the Casino makes money!
As you would reasonably expect, the owner of the site you are playing on needs to make some money from you playing blackjack. After all, there wouldn’t be many sites for you to play on if this wasn’t the case.
The advantage the casino has of course is that as soon as you go bust, your money’s gone! Poof! Even if the dealer were to go bust straight after you, your money has still gone.
Don’t start to panic; whilst this does give the house a slight edge in blackjack, it’s still a very good game to play – with a very high chance of paying out to the smart players gathered around the table!
