Playing Blackjack at Bodog

For first time players to Blackjack, Bodog offers a Casino School, which is a tutorial for the game and just one click away from the main screen. The information is written in a clear, straightforward manner and includes game rules, card values, player actions/wagers and button descriptions. Strategy tips are also given and an easy to read strategy card is offered for easy reference.

Once players are ready to begin play, their options are either Standard Blackjack or European Blackjack, and both can be easily accessed by a single mouse click.

Players can also choose to practice for free or play with real money by clicking on one of two game options. The look and feel of the Blackjack game is almost identical to that of an actual Las Vegas blackjack game. The clean appearance and layout of the game make it easy to navigate your way from betting to winning.

It is obvious Bodog has spent a lot of time and effort trying to recreate an actual Blackjack game, and they have really succeeded. Players can enlarge the game screen to full size for maximum enjoyment. All games are played between the dealer and player, with each being dealt two initial cards that zip in front of the player on the screen, complete with bright colours and sound effects. The only difference in the dealt hands is that one of the dealer’s cards is facedown. The player must then make a decision to abstain from drawing (stand), or draw additional cards (hit). In between, options to surrender a hand, take insurance, split hands and doubling bet amounts will present themselves to players. If new players forget the rules for the game, a handy drop down menu in the upper left hand corner of the screen will offer up reminders.
