Upcard
Refers to the initial card that is dealt to the dealer and remains face up, whereas the other card dealt face down is the hole card. Standard blackjack rules at casinos require dealers to deal their opening hand with one card showing face up and one card face down. The face up card is commonly referred to as the ‘up card’
