Cage
The name that refers to the cashiers area.
Camouflage
This is the term that players use when other players do not want them to see what they are doing.
Capping
Highly illegal and should never been tried especially at a land casino. This is where players tried to add to a bet by placing chips alongside the original bet after the game has started in the hope it won’t be noticed.
Card Shark
A term given to players who are experts in the card games.
Casino Advantage
The advantage that a casino has over the players is also referred to as house advantage. This is usually given as a percentage.
Change
When you want to change the colour of your chips by adding more money or changing larger for smaller chips.
Chase
This is what players do on a losing streak which means literally chase a win.
Chips
The coloured discs that are used to make bets. These are in different colours pertaining to the value of the chip. Black chips are $100 for example.
Chip Tray
The tray contains the chips that belong to the dealer and are used to colour up.
Cold
A reference to the losing streak of a player.
Comps
Freebies given by the casino to players which are usually free food and drinks.
Colour Up
The act of changing chips that are of a smaller denomination into chips of a larger one.
Counting Cards
A reference to layers or systems that try to gain an advantage over the house by counting cards.
Croupier
A name that is used for the dealer at certain casinos.
Cut
The act of cutting a new deck into two
