Back Counting

Back Counting is card counting that is done by a spectator who is standing behind the player.

Balanced Count

A Balanced Count is when you are using a card counting system that the totals when added come to make zero.

Banker

Banker refers to the casino’s dealer.

Bank Roll

The amount of money that a player has while playing. This is very important to keep an eye on as it is very easy to lose.

Blackjack

The name given to the game and can also be called 21, Pontoon, Vingt et Un.

Bet

This is the amount you wage when playing at each stage.

Betting Limit

The betting limit is the minimum and maximum that can be placed at a casino. These vary from place to place and also for different games.

Big Player

Refers to a card shark who is in it to make a living.

Black Chip

A $100 black chip which is equal to $100.

Burn Card

The first card of a new deck when opened. The card is placed at the bottom of the deck before starting.

Bust

The term given to a hand that is more than 21 in total.

Buy in

This is when you convert cash into chips where the totals are of the same value. This also refers to the amount that must be placed to be able to play at a table
