Blackjack Shuffle Tracking
Shuffle tracking is a reasonably new technique that has not really been publicised yet. Shuffle tracking is the ’science of following specific cards through the shuffling process’ for the purpose of either cutting them out of play or keeping them in play.
A single deck of cards should be shuffled twenty to thirty times to ensure an absolute random deal. If a Casino is using a 6 deck shoe, that equates to around 120 to 180 shuffles!
A beneficial shuffle for a one deck game is played by dividing the deck of cards into 26 equal cards and shuffling them together at least three times. This allows the cards to be adequately mixed to return a completely random distribution.
An unbalanced shuffle is where the deck is divided into two unequal stacks by the dealer. For example, say you are playing two hands head on against the dealer and the dealer is dealing the last 10 cards in the deck, the deal shows that both your hands lost to the dealer becasue of the high percentage of low value cards in the pack. The dealer now shuffles the cards and separates the pack into 31 cards in one stack and 21 in the other. The packs are now reshuffled into two piles. If the shuffle is done from the bottom of each pile, the top ten cards of the larger stack will remain the same without mixing with any of the other cards. This repeats your previous loss because the deck is the same as before so both hands will be lost. If you were to cut the cards precisely at the end of those ten cards, you would alter the order of those cards in your favour. Also, if you were watching carefully and keepinging count, you would realise that the cards were favourable during the first three to four hands due to the fact there would be loads of tens in that part of the deck that is yet to be played. You could then increase your bet size to increase your winnings.
