Blackjack Explainned – Choosing a Table
You will easily identify the Blackjack tables at a casino. They are the large semi-circular green felt tables with the writing “Blackjack pays 3 to 2” written across them. Blackjack rules can vary from each table. Any Blackjack table will have its minimum and maximum bet limits posted on it. For example, a Blackjack table may say that the minimum bet allowed is $5, whereas the maximum is $200. The Blackjack tables that are usually the most popular, are the ones with the lower maximum betting limits.
Nearly all Blackjack tables deal their cards from a multiple of decks, which is usually 6 to 8 decks. These decks are fed into a shoe that continually shuffles them. Although the casino has the edge or the advantage over the player, the edge increases with the casino when more decks are used. Blackjack cards are always dealt face up, and you must never touch your cards.
