Blackjack Explained – Doubling Down

Nearly all Blackjack tables will give you the option to double down your bet and draw one more card. You can however only double down if your two cards equal 10 or 11. This means that you can double your bet, but you can only draw one more card. You must sit on whatever you are drawn. For example if you have a 7 and a 3 totaling 10, and your bet is $10, then this would be a good hand to double down on. Beware though, doubling down only allows you to draw one more card. You can still get caught with a low hand.
