About Perfect Pairs Blackjack
Perfect Pairs Blackjack has similar rules to that of Vegas Strip Blackjack, the difference being you can take a side bet. When you place a bet in the perfect pairs spot on a blackjack table you are in effect placing a side bet hoping that the next two cards dealt to your hand will be a pair. You lose if the cards ares not a pair. If, on the other hand they are pairs you continue playing until the end in which you will win your wager and get paid out at either 5, 10 or 30 times your bet depending on the type of perfect pair you were dealt.
Here is an example for perfect pairs:
- Perfect Pairs will pay 30 to 1 (ie two kings of Hearts)
- Coloured Pairs will pay 10 to 1 (ie one Jack of Hearts, one Jack of Diamonds)
- Mixed Pairs pays the least at 5 to 1 (ie one King of Diamonds, one King of Clubs)
In another example, a $25 bet is placed as the main wager and a matching $25 wager was placed on the Perfect Pairs side wager. However these values do not have to be the same, one could be $20 the other $25. Say a pair of threes are dealt and using a basic strategy was able to hit to 21 and win the hand.
The total wager was $50 and you would win a total of $175. The perfect pair winnings for that hand would be $175, minus the $25 wager and minus the $25 winnings for the hand equal $125 or in other words, 5 times the original bet.
